The Parish Perspectives Project

Introduction

The purpose of this project is to identify 10 each people from Terrebonne and Plaquemines parishes to participate in a Disaster Resilience Leadership Forum. The Forum will address important issues facing the Parish with regarding to the consequences of the BP Oil catastrophe and other challenges and opportunities faced in the future. 

Why?

We hope that the Forum will provide an additional voice for the citizens in the Parish. The Forum and follow-up interviews will be videotaped and made available on this web site.

What’s the Tulane University Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy (DRLA) and Forum?

DRLA is dedicated to understanding how wise leadership can lead to better recovery from disasters such as hurricanes and industrial accidents. The DRLA Forum is a way for local leaders to share their perspectives with fellow leaders in order to improve the quality of life for their community.
