The Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy, as part of the Payson Center, is collaborating with Jackson State University to provide academic and research support to the NDCIEM around issues related to natural disasters and their impacts on infrastructure and communities.

The Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy, as part of the Payson Center, is collaborating with Jackson State University to provide academic and research support to the NDCIEM around issues related to natural disasters and their impacts on infrastructure and communities.  Specifically, the team supports a Lessons Without Borders program that collects information on international best practices with applications to a variety of hazard events and seeks to identify lessons learned from global disasters.  The team then assesses these lessons learned and provided recommendations for domestic application to improve health outcomes post disaster and enhance human security.  This project is funded by the Department of Homeland Security.
