The Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy was established to systematically strengthen leadership globally in disaster resilience through training, education and research.
Page Center of Excellence for Natural Disasters, Coastal Infrastructure, and Emergency Management (NDCIEM)
The Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy, as part of the Payson Center, is collaborating with Jackson State University to provide academic and research support to the NDCIEM around issues related to natural disasters and their impacts on infrastructure and communities.

The Tulane Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy (DRLA) is leading an evaluation of the humanitarian aid programs initiated in Haiti following the earthquake of January 12, 2010.

The Tulane DRLA Assessment Team will carry out an impact assessment in Terrebonne and Plaquemines Parishes in coastal Louisiana to help OXFAM and its partners better understand the affects of the oil spill catastrophe on vulnerable coastal Louisiana communities and their resilience.
